Commission Meeting

August 3, 2022 A regular meeting of the Board of City Commissioners was held on August 3, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. at the City Meeting Room. Present Commissioners John Clausen, Bill Kary, Lisa Hedstrom and Jim Schacher. In Pres. LeeAnn Domonoske-Kellar absence, the meeting was chaired by Comm. Clausen. Motion made by Hedstrom and seconded Schacher to approve the minutes of the last regular meeting (7-20-22) as presented. All present voted aye, motion carried. Motion made by Kary and seconded by Hedstrom to approve the agenda as presented. All present voted aye, motion carried. Motion made by Schacher and seconded by Hedstrom to approve the 2023 preliminary budget with a levie of $194,401.83. Roll call vote. Aye: Comm. Clausen, Kary, Hedstrom and Schacher. Absent: Pres. Domonoske-Kellar. Motion carried. The final budget hearing will be held September 21, 2022 at 6:50 p.m. Motion made by Schacher and seconded by Hedstrom to approve the building permit renewal request for Josh Sackett for permit #1110 until June 22, 2023. All present voted aye, motion carried. Devin Hanson was present to discuss an extension to reside his house. Hanson agreed to reside his house and shed when he was approved to construct a detached garage at the May 27, 2020 Zoning meeting. Motion made by Schacher and seconded by Kary to give Hanson until May 1, 2023 to reside house. All present voted aye, motion carried. Motion made by Hedstrom and seconded by Kary to approve the gaming application submitted by the First Presbyterian Church to sell raffle tickets from August 4, 2020 through September 10, 2022. All present voted aye, motion carried. Changes to the North Dakota Fire and Tornado Fund where tabled. Motion made by Hedstrom and seconded by Kary to pay bills as presented. Roll call vote. Aye: Comm. Clausen, Kary, Hedstrom and Schacher. Absent: Pres. Domonoske-Kellar. Motion carried. With no other items for discussion Comm.
