Commission Meeting

January 4, 2023 A regular meeting of the Board of City Commissioners was held on January 4, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. at the City Meeting Room. Present Commissioners John Clausen, Lisa Hedstrom, Jim Schacher and Pres. LeeAnn Domonoske-Kellar. Motion made by Hedstrom and seconded by Clausen to approve the minutes from December 21, 2022 meeting as presented. All present voted aye, motion carried. Motion made by Schacher and seconded by Clausen to approve the agenda as presented. All present voted aye, motion carried. Motion made by Schacher and seconded by Clausen to approve requesting funds from the Sales and Use Tax Board to hire a second dump truck driver to assist with snow removal. All present voted aye, motion carried. Motion made by Clausen and seconded by Schacher to approve the Contractors Report for the work done on the water and sewer improvements in 2022 as presented by Moore Engineering. All present voted aye, motion carried. Motion made by Hedstrom and seconded by Clausen to approve the Environmental Report for the upcoming 2023 water and sewer improvements as presented by Moore Engineering. All present voted aye, motion carried. Motion made by Schacher and seconded by Hedstrom to approve the gaming application from Pheasants Forever to hold a raffle on April 1, 2023. All present voted aye, motion carried. Motion made by Schacher and seconded by Hedstrom to finance the 2022 John Deere loader for 3 years with an annual payment of $16,539.63. All present voted aye, motion carried. The CD for the 2001-1 Improvement Project will mature on January 13, 2023. The CD will not be renewed. Other investment opportunities will be explored. Motion made by Hedstrom and seconded by Schacher to approve a 3% raise for all full-time salary employees. All present voted aye, motion carried. With no other items for discussion Pres.
