Park Board Meeting

Wilton Park Board Meeting Minutes Date: August 3, 2025 Time: 5:00pm – 6:00pm Location: Wilton City Hall Attendees • Present: Nicole Schurhamer, Brian Dusek, Amy Rust, Lisa Herner, Jamie Schurhamer 1. Call to Order • Lisa called the meeting to order at 5:00pm 2. Approval of Minutes from last Meeting The minutes of the May meeting were reviewed and approved as presented. 3. Treasurer’s Report • Current account balance: $53,867.85 • Scoreboard installation was paid • We still need to pay out summer staff salaries. • Jamie made a motion to approve the treasurer’s report, Brian second, motion carried and approved. Old Business 4. Splash Pad Update • Roughly $80,000 left to pay on splash pad, waiting on final bill from Cordova. Will be asking the Legion to help pay remaining balance. • Jamie made a motion to table all other plans and discussion on Splash Pad and privacy fence until we have a budget meeting and see final numbers, Brian 2nd, motion carried and approved. 5. Wild In Wilton • Made $4,137 and paid out $7,335 (band, T-shirts, security) • Next year’s date will be discussed at a later meeting. New Business 6. Park Clean-up and end of the year • Trevor (AD) will be putting the batting cages away • Summer hires will be putting garbage’s away but need to leave one up by the splash pad, and Landyn will be taking care of cleaning the buildings up. A check list of tasks will be made for next year for summer hires to follow. • Landyn and Jonah will mow again then be done for the summer. Lisa is talking to them about it. • The Park Board will meet at South Park for the next meeting to look over everything.  • Jamie made a motion to have Jaxon H. remove a damaged tree from North Park and one at South Park, Nicole 2nd, motion carried and approved. 8. Budget Meeting • Budget meeting needs to be held between September 7th and October 7th. Date set for September 17th at 7:00pm Next meeting date is Wednesday, August 20th at 7pm at the South Park. Meeting adjourned at 5:45pm.
