Adjourn MINUTES The Mayor called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. The meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance led by Deputy Mayor Mace. Members Present: Mayor Seth Leonard, Councilors: Nicole Mace, Hal Colston, Kristine Lott, Councilor Covey was absent. Officers Present: Jessie Baker, City Manager; Janet Brouard, Sr. Asst City Clerk; Angela Aldieri, Staff Accountant; Jon Rauscher, Public Works Director; Heather Carrington, Economic Development Director; Ray Coffey, Community Services Director; Eric Vorwald, Planning and Zoning Manager; Amanda Perry, Librarian; Alicia Finley, Parks & Recreation Manager. Others Present: Florence Fong, Lawrence Fong and Joyce Fong, Mandarin; Christopher West, The Dutch Delicatessen; Betsey Nolan, Paul Rabidoux, Tyson Bry, VDEC; Wayne Elliot and Jeffrey Lewis, Aldrich & Elliot; Steve Eyler, Penrose Jackson, Moira Mulligan and Thifeen WaheedDeen, UVM Medical Center; Esther Lotz. July 16, 2018 Winooski City Council III. Regular Items a. Approval: 2nd Class Liquor License Christopher D. West/The Dutch Delicatessen, LLC 65 Winooski Falls Way formerly Happy Belly Deli The City Manager introduced Mr. West to the Council. She said the staff finds no significant findings and therefore request the approval of this liquor license. The Mayor welcomed him to the City and wished him well in opening his establishment. MOTION by Councilor Lott seconded by Councilor Colston to approve the 2nd Class Liquor License to Christopher D. West/The Dutch Delicatessen, LLC 65 Winooski Falls Way formerly Happy Belly Deli as presented. Voted and passes 3- 0. b. Approval: 1st Class Liquor License, Restaurant License and Entertainment Permit LRFong, LLC dba Mandarin, 22 Main St. formerly Donny’s New York Pizza The City Manager introduced Lawrence Fong and his mother Joyce to the Council. She said the staff finds no significant findings and therefore request approval of this liquor license. The Mayor said he is pleased to have them come into the City; it’s been a long time coming. Mrs. Fong said they expect to open on August 18th. The Mayor wished them well. MOTION by Councilor Mace seconded by Councilor Colston to approve the 1st Class Liquor License, Restaurant License and Entertainment Permit LRFong, LLC dba Mandarin, 22 Main St. formerly Donny’s New York Pizza as presented. Voted and passed 3-0. MOTION by Councilor Mace seconded by Councilor Colston to adjourn the Liquor Control Board meeting at 6:05 p.m. Voted and passed 3-0.
