Review of the City’s Master Plan and How the Finance Commission’s Work Aligns Discussed the Master Plan summary to begin to understand the direction of future work. Specific topics included: currently unfunded programs such as Housing Trust Fund, Scholarship Trust Fund, Public Art Fund, the TIF that will expire in 2025 and it's relation to debt service in the future, financial investments, the need for reserves for capital improvements. Determined that more detailed information from staff regarding how current revenue and expenses are allocated is required before we can begin to consider the ways the Finance Commission can help achieve the goals set forth in the Master Plan. VI. Drafting of the Key Questions to be Addressed by the Finance Commission and the Future Workplan Are the programs we are considering sustainable (environmentally & financially)? Are they inclusive (economically, socially)? What are there are impacts we haven't thought of? Are they affordable? When we have a better idea of how programs are funded and revenue flows would like to consider polling residents to see if they agree with how the city resources are being spent to help guide our work.
