I. Public Comment No public comment III. Approve Previous Meeting Minutes R No official meeting in April. January 2019 minutes reviewed. Decision: Minutes approved Motion by: Corey Berman Second: Corey Mack IV. Department and City Updates Presentation by: Jon Rauscher D City Council officially approved the Myers pool project. DPW provided a scope of work to City Council from base bid at $3.1 mil to option increasing it to roughly $3.4 mil. Project kick-off meetings scheduled for June with winning bidder Russell Contracting based out of Rutland. Projected pool opening July 2020. Winooski did not get the class 2 VTRANS grant for paving projects so there will be limited paving happening this summer. Streets currently designated for paving include Leclair St., Richards St., and Burling St. DPW will be putting out a bid for crack sealing and joint repair on Main St. Painting and line striping will begin late May. One specific project is the Main St. / Tigan striping and turn arrow. New water and sewer rate goes into effect July 1. Waking Windows was a success and had great turnout! V. Input on Upcoming Policy Priorities and Strategies DPW seeking Commission input and feedback on public works related projects for the upcoming City of Winooski Policy Priorities and Strategies document outlining 2019-2020. DPW has already commenced an internal department meeting to identify potential projects and priorities. DPW will meet with city council in June to go over specifics. DPW has many capital projects in the works including Main St. revitalization, Hickok St. water main replacement, Myers Memorial Pool renovation and renewal, potential new tree ordinance, possible implementation of underground utility ordinance, sewer and water ordinance, wastewater treatment headworks projects including generator and boiler upgrades.
