Box A * Withee, Wisconsin 54498 The Village of Withee Board met on September 9, 2024, in the Municipal Building Conference Room at 6:30 pm for the regular board meeting. ROLL CALL- President Lindgren called the meeting to order. Roll call was answered by Trustees Lindgren, Shelton, Mueller, Kroeplin, and Kalepp. Clerk Niemi recorded the minutes. Also present were DPW Derek Schad, Cindy Cardinal, Sandy Deacon, Chief Patrick Fehlman, Officer Jacob Haugstad, and Larry Klabon, Sr. MINUTES-A Kalepp/Mueller motion to approve the minutes of the August 12, 2024, regular meeting carried with all ayes. FINANCIAL STATEMENTS-A Shelton/Kroeplin motion to approve the monthly financial statements for the General, Water, and Sewer Accounts carried with all ayes. PAYMENT OF BILLS-A Kroeplin/Kalepp motion to approve General Account checks 36903 thru 36948, Water Account checks 7415 thru 7425, and Sewer Account checks 2594 thru 2595 and online payments as presented carried with all ayes. PAYROLL REPORT-The board reviewed the employee time cards and payroll report. COMMUNITY INPUT-No community input was given. COMMITTEE REPORT-No reports given. HOUSE OF FRIENDS REQUEST-House of Friends board president, Sandy Deacon, reported that 15 kids are signed up for this after school non-profit organization. Attendees receive a snack, reading time, and activity. A Kroeplin/Shelton motion to donate $1,500 to the House of Friends carried with all ayes. DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS-A Kroeplin/Mueller motion to approve the estimate for $8,500 from Dennis Ovyn Trucking, Inc to shoulder Clover and Pine Streets and driveways from the overlay carried with all ayes. It will be completed by October 1st, with the cost increasing or decreasing as it is billed by tonnage which varies on thickness. CLOSED SESSION -A Kalepp/Shelton motion at 6:38 pm to enter Closed Session pursuant to §Ch. 19.85 (l)(c), “considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee (police employee wage and benefits and Union Contract),” inviting Chief Fehlman, Officer Haugstad, and Clerk Niemi into closes session, carried with all ayes. A Kalepp/Mueller motion to reconvene into open session at 7:35 pm carried with all ayes. POLICE REPORT-A Shelton/Kalepp motion to postpone action on the police budget with third officer until the next meeting carried with all ayes. A Kalepp/Kroeplin motion to postpone action on the employment of a third officer until the next meeting carried with all ayes. GENERAL DEPARMENT-A Kroeplin/Mueller motion to approve operator licenses for Wendy Massie and Jacqueline Johnson carried with all ayes. A Kalepp/Mueller motion to approve the gWorks quote for the water company billing software for $2,724.00 for 2025 carried with all ayes. A Kalepp/Mueller motion to adjourn at 7:40 pm carried with all ayes.
