Mabel Fry LibrarY Board Minutes June 3,2020 Members present: lnez Andrews, Margarete Albrecht, Jacie Doyle, Sue Kilmer, Mary Moore and Jeanne Riggs Librarian's RePort CoVID 19: Sara shared with the board that the city required her to let go all library staff due to l',br.ry's closing from COVID. She was required by the City Manager to develop an extensive tt. that included plan for reopening the library. Members were provided the document* with plans as a curbside pickup measures for safely checking out reserved materials to patrons first service, to eventually opening the facility up to patrons in a limited capacity by May L8th have its own through the middle of June. The city gave permission for the library to finally going on with reopening Facebóok page, which will enable the public to be aware of what is process' A plans. Staff were slowly brought back to their positions throughout this reopening positions when deemed few of the staff are considered "at risk" and will come back to their a more normal appropriate. Beginning June 15th, the hope is that library services can return to patrons through the use of service model. Every effort is being made to protect both staff and protective masks, diiigent cleaning/disinfecting and social distancing. Plans can change due to the containment/management of COV]D as the summer progresses' prosrams & Activities: Every effort is being made to turn programs and activities into an online format as much as possible, th¡s ¡ncludes the Summer Reading Program. The library Facebook page is being utilized for sharing program information and yirtual events, as well as story time' participants will access digital reading logs through EngageÞatrons.org. Some events will have a craft kit/take-home activity that parents can pick up for their children to make while participating with the online story time/event. The next library meeting for July 15th was discussed with a new meeting time of 4:00. (Revised: All meetings must be at 5:30 due to being posted with the city.
