The City of Yukon Park Board met for their regular meeting on Wednesday, January 15,
2020, 6:00 p.m. at the Huckaba Bldg., 532 W. Main, Yukon, OK.
Roll Call: (Present) Joe Edwards, Chairman
Joe Baumann, Vice Chairman
Stephen Nelson
Jason Hammett
Cathy Wright
Others Present: Jan Scott, Quincy Rinkle, Andrea Griffin, Jarrett Kelough, Lee
Clark, Erick Robinson, Carl Mason, Craig Francis, John Vanek,
Greg Burch, David Foley, David Montgomery, Ken Ryel, Ron
Ron McClure, Randy Palmer, Amanda Pendleton and
Dorothy Osborn.
Item 1: Approval of the minutes for January 15, 2020
Joe Baumann moved to approve the minutes from January 15 2020, Jason Hammett
seconded the motion.
The vote: Ayes: Baumann, Nelson, Edwards, Wright and Hammett
Nays: None
The Vote 5-0
Motion Carried
Item 2: Consider approval of the lease agreements for the following sports
organizations
A. Yukon BMX use of Taylor Park BMX track from March 4, 2020 through
March 3, 2021.
Cathy Wright moved to approve the Yukon BMX agreement and seconded by Jason
Hammett.
The Vote: Ayes: Edwards, Baumann, Hammett, Wright and Nelson
Nays: None

B. Yukon Horseshoe Club use of the City Park Horseshoe Courts effective
from March 4, 2020 through October 31, 2020. *Note: Tournament on July
4th will be cancelled due to the Freedom Fest activities/fireworks, but my
be held on the July 5 th
Joe Edwards moved to approve the Yukon Horseshoe Club agreement and seconded by
Cathy Wright.
The Vote: Ayes: Edwards, Baumann, Hammett, Wright and Nelson
Nays: None
Vote 5-0
Motion Carried
C. Central Oklahoma RC Club use of Taylor RC Track from March 4, 2020
through March 3, 2021.
Joe Baumann moved to approve the Central Oklahoma RC Club agreement and seconded by
Jason Hammett.
The Vote: Ayes: Edwards, Baumann, Wright, Nelson and Hammett
Nays: None
Vote 5-0

D. Yukon Optimist Sports Club use of Yukon City Park Baseball Field from
March 4, 2020 through March 3, 2021
Jason Hammett moved to approve the Yukon Optimist Sports Club agreement and seconded
by Cathy Wright.
The Vote: Ayes: Edwards, Baumann, Hammett, Wright and Nelson
Nays: None
Vote 5-0

E. Yukon Soccer Competitive/Recreation Club use o f Ranchwood
Park/Taylor Park soccer fields from March 4, 2020 through March 3, 2021
Cathy Wright moved to approve the Yukon Soccer Competitive/Recreation Club agreement
and seconded by Joe Baumann.
The Vote: Ayes: Edwards, Baumann, Hammett, Wright and Nelson
Vote 5-0

F. Yukon Christian Athletic Association use of Hilcrest Softball Field from
March 4, 2020 through March 3, 2021
Steve Nelson moved to approve the Yukon Christian Athletic Association agreement and
seconded by Cathy Wright.
The Vote: Ayes: Edwards, Baumann, Hammett, Wright and Nelson

Item 3: Spring Events Program Reports
Chocolate Festival was a success and utilized grass area for additional parking.
Trout Fish Out coming up Saturday, March 7th from 8:00-11:00, Dale Robertson Center Pond.
21 st Annual Taste of Yukon , Thursday, March 26th from 5:30-7:30 at Dale Robertson Center.
Yukon Senior Games , April 17th –April 25th
Festival of the Child, Saturday May 2nd
Item 4: Staff Reports
Job postings for outside lifeguards will be posted in March.
New staff, new programs and Spring Brochures will be printed soon.
Item 5: Open Discussion
Jan Scott discussed the newly awarded Freedom Trail Park Grant, improvements,
equipment and splash pad. Early stages, nothing set in stone, still a lot to be discussed.
Stephen Nelson said he was sorry he missed Chocolate Festival, excited and would like to
hear more about the grant.
Jason Hammett sorry he missed the Chocolate Festival but looking forward to Taste of
Yukon.
Joe Baumann happy to hear of the grants, looking forward to Taste of Yukon, looking forward
to bike trails being completed.
Joe Edwards would like to thank staff for being prepared, glad to hear about grants.
