Planning Commission Minutes June 10, 2024 The City of Yukon Planning Commission held a Meeting on June 10, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. in the Centennial Building at 12 South 5th St. ROLL CALL: (Present) Lee Clark, Commissioner Jeff Geis, Commissioner Steven Jones, Commissioner Craig Nuckols, Commissioner (Absent) Jarrid Wright, Vice-Chairman OTHERS PRESENT: Jessica Bloye, City Planner with J&A Danielle O’Neal, Assistant Planning Director Mitchell Hort, Acting City Manager & Dev Serv Director Roger Rinehart, City Attorney INVOCATION: Commissioner Geis FLAG SALUTE: Roger Rinehart 1.ITEM: ELECT CHAIR OR TEMPORARY CHAIR Motion: Commissioner Geis made a motion to appoint Commissioner Clark as temporary chair. Seconded by: Commissioner Nuckols. The Vote: Ayes: Geis, Clark, Jones, Nuckols Nays: None Vote: 4-0 Motion Carried PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES 2.ITEM: APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES OF THE MAY 13, 2024 MEETING Motion: Commissioner Geis made a motion to approve the minutes of the May 13, 2024 meeting. Seconded by: Commissioner Clark. The Vote: Ayes: Geis, Clark, Jones, Nuckols Nays: None Vote: 4-0 Motion Carried 3.ITEM: VISITORS Mike Burris (300 E Platt) spoke regarding chair / vice chair requesting that they select someone that will represent the people. 4.ITEM: PC 2024-12 TO HEAR A REQUEST BY PURVI PATEL FOR WALLACE DESIGN COLLECTIVE FOR A PRELIMINARY PLAT OF THE VANDAMENT WESTPORT DEVELOPMENT. Legal: A part of the Southeast Quarter of Section NINETEEN (19), Township TWELVE (12) North, Range FIVE (5) West of the Indian Meridian, Canadian County, Oklahoma, more particularly described as follows: Beginning 744.5 feet West of the Southeast Corner; thence West 767.63 feet, thence North 690.35 feet; thence East 968.04 feet, thence South 288 feet; thence West 327 feet, thence South 220 feet; thence East 127 feet; thence South 200 feet to the point of beginning. Discussion: Patrick Altendorf representing Wallace Design Collective stated they prepared the preliminary plat to place a medical office on the lot. The entire area is shown for the preliminary plat but when it comes back for a final plat it will only show the 4 acres where the construction of the medical office is expected. A question was asked by the public regarding the legal description, and further discussion was held regarding the legal description of the parent tract of property. Staff recommended that the item be tabled to the next meeting to ensure that the legal is correct. There was discussion regarding the driveway locations. The City Attorney did recommend if there is a problem with the legal that the item be tabled until the next meeting. Motion: Commissioner Geis recommended the item be tabled to the next meeting in July. PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES Seconded by: Commissioner Jones. The Vote: Ayes: Geis, Clark, Jones, Nuckols Nays: Vote: 4-0 Motion Carried 5.ITEM: ELECT NEW PLANNING COMMISSION CHAIR Discussion: Discussion was held to table this item until the next meeting. Motion: Commissioner Jones made a motion to table this item until the July meeting. Seconded by: Commissioner Nuckols. The Vote: Ayes: Geis, Clark, Jones, Nuckols Nays: None Vote: 4-0 Motion Carried 6.ITEM: ELECT NEW PLANNING COMMISSION VICE CHAIR Discussion: Discussion was held to table this item until the next meeting. Motion: Commissioner Geis made a motion to table this item until the July meeting. Seconded by: Commissioner Nuckols.
