Minutes THE TRAFFIC AND TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION THE TRAFFIC AND TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION MET IN REGULAR SESSION ON AUGUST 08, 2023 AT THE CENTENNIAL BUILDING IN THE CITY COUNCIL CONFERENCE ROOM. THE MEETING WAS HELD AT 6:30 PM. ROLL CALL: James Montgomery Charlie Lee Rick Cacini CITY OFFICIALS: Arnold Adams, Public Works Director Jessica Rodriquez, Public Works Item 1: Discuss and approve the minutes of the regular Traffic Commission Meeting: July 11, 2023 Motion for minutes to be approved: Motion – Rick Cacini Second – Charlie Lee The motion passed unanimously. Item 2: Visitors: None Item 3: No Parking Sign request in several areas of Sunrise Hills Subdivision. Requested by resident Glen Smith. R. Cacini; clarify with Mr. Glen Smith what exactly he is requesting.  C. Lee; check ordinances or come up with ordinance. Encourage more patrol. A. Adams; checked with the school and they have no complaints turned in J. Montgomery; not so much a problem during the day, it’s at night when people are home. Chief Corn was talking about the same issue in the paper. Motion to contact Mr. Glen Smith; request in writing what he is wanting: Motion – Rick Cacini Second – James Montgomery The motion passed unanimously. Tabled until next meeting. Item 4: Discuss Traffic Concerns C. Lee; Vandament & Garth Brooks – left turn arrow changing to green when no one is there. A. Adams; We fixed it. It should be working now. B. Lee; are we leaving Main St. & Cornwell alone, East bound left turn locked on? A. Adams; Yes, for now. J. Montgomery; Main St. & Cornwell are they getting rid of the cameras? A. Admas; Believe they are just adjusting them. R. Cacini; At Lakeshore Dr.- car went across two lanes to make a left turn. Maybe a barrier, green arrow, or Right turn only sign?
