CALL TO ORDER
I. REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA OF APRIL 15, 2015
City Council discussion and/or questions to City staff on any Regular City Council Meeting agenda
item. (For a listing of agenda items, the Regular City Council meeting agenda is posted adjacent to
this worksession agenda and is available in the Office of the City Clerk and on the City’s website at
www.YumaAz.gov).
II. YUMA VISITOR’S BUREAU REPORT
Briefing by Linda Morgan, Executive Director of Yuma Visitor’s Bureau, on the Bureau’s
year-end report, including current activities and strategic plan for the future, followed by City
Council discussion and/or questions.
III. TEXTING WHILE DRIVING ORDINANCE
Police Chief, John Lekan, will present an update of the proposed Texting While Driving
Ordinance, followed by discussion and/or questions from City Council.
IV. ADDITIONAL ITEMS FOR POSSIBLE DISCUSSION
A. City Council report on meetings/events attended – City Council report on issues discussed
in meetings/events attended by a City Council representative in their official capacity as the
City’s representative during the period of April 1, 2015 to April 14, 2015. City Council
questions regarding the report must be limited solely for clarification purposes. If further
discussion is warranted, the issue will be added to a future worksession agenda for a detailed
briefing.
B. City Council report of upcoming meetings.
C. City Council request for agenda items to be placed on future agendas.

V. EXECUTIVE SESSION
An Executive Session may be called during the public meeting for the purpose of receiving legal
advice for items on this agenda pursuant to A.R.S. Section 38-431.03 A (1,3, 4 and/or 7) and the

A. Discussion, consultation with and/or instruction from counsel regarding the Arizona Court
of Appeals decision in City of Tucson v. State related to Consolidated Elections. (ARS
