Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Resolution R2015-047 that one or more members of the
Yuma City Council may participate in person or by telephonic, video or internet conferencing.
Voting procedures will remain as required by the Yuma City Charter and other applicable laws.
CALL TO ORDER
I. KIDS AT HOPE
Tim Hardy, Yuma County Juvenile Justice Center Director & Treasure Hunter, will give a
presentation on Kids at Hope; followed by questions and/or discussion by City Council.
II. COMPENSATION AND PAY PLAN OVERVIEW
A compensation and pay plan overview will be presented by Monica Welch, Human
Resources Director, and specific pay plans for Yuma Police Department and Yuma Fire
Department will be presented by Chief Lekan, Chief Irr and staff; followed by questions
and/or discussion by City Council.
III. CITY OF YUMA DEVELOPMENT FEES
Discussion of the City of Yuma Development Fees by City Council, City Administration and
staff.
IV. REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA OF SEPTEMBER 19, 2018.
City Council discussion and/or questions to City staff on any Regular City Council Meeting
agenda item. (For a listing of agenda items, the Regular City Council meeting agenda is
posted adjacent to this worksession agenda and is available in the Office of the City Clerk
and on the City’s website at www.YumaAz.gov).
V. EXECUTIVE SESSION
An Executive Session may be called during this public meeting for the purpose of receiving
legal advice for items included on the September 19, 2018 Regular City Council Meeting, the
September 18, 2018 Regular Worksession and the September 18, 2018 Citizen’s Forum
agendas, pursuant to A.R.S. Section 38-431.03 A (1, 3, 4, 5 and/or 7) and the following items:

A. Discussion, consultation with and/or instruction to legal counsel regarding potential
legislation (Arizona Proposition 126) affecting the Tax Code of the City of Yuma. (ARS
38-431.03 A3 & A4)
B. Discussion or consultation with City Council in order to consider its position and instruct
the City Administrator and City Attorney regarding negotiations with employee organizations
on salaries, salary schedules or compensation paid to employees. (ARS 38-431.03 A1, A3,
A4 & A5)
