Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Resolution R2015-047 that one or more members of the
Yuma City Council may participate in person or by telephonic, video or internet conferencing.
Voting procedures will remain as required by the Yuma City Charter and other applicable laws.
CALL TO ORDER
I. ART CENTER UPDATE
Debbie Wendt, Director of Parks and Recreation, and Lindsay Benacka, Arts and Culture
Program Manager, will present an update on the Art Center programs, future activities, and
will introduce representatives from the Arizona Commission on the Arts who will discuss
community relationships and state wide art initiatives that are relevant to Yuma; followed by
discussion and/or questions from City Council.
II. TREE AND SHADE MASTER PLAN
Naomi Leeman, Senior Planner, and members of the Planning Task Force will provide an
overview of the Tree and Shade Master Plan, followed by discussion and/or questions from
City Council.
III. REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA OF JANUARY 15, 2020
City Council discussion and/or questions to City staff on any Regular City Council Meeting
agenda item. (For a listing of agenda items, the Regular City Council meeting agenda is
posted adjacent to this worksession agenda and is available in the Office of the City Clerk
and on the City’s website at www.YumaAz.gov).

IV. EXECUTIVE SESSION
An Executive Session may be called during this public meeting for the purpose of receiving
legal advice for items included on the January 15, 2020 Regular City Council Meeting, the
January 14, 2020 Regular Worksession and the January 14, 2020 Citizen’s Forum agendas,
pursuant to A.R.S. Section 38-431.03 A (1, 3, 4 and/or 7) and the following items:
A. Discussion, consultation with and/or instruction to legal counsel regarding the following
legal matters (ARS 38-431.03 A3, A4 and A7):
1. Avenue 6E Investments, et al v. City of Yuma
2. Pearce v. City of Yuma, et al
3. Angulo-Murrieta v. City of Yuma, et al
4. Preciado v. City of Yuma, et al
5. Steenhard v. City of Yuma, et al
6. City of Yuma v. Great American Insurance
7. City of Yuma v. PKC, et al
8. Boys and Girls Club and the City of Yuma v. Salvation Army
9. Beas v. Babb, et al
10. Claims and potential litigation
B. Discussion, consultation with and/or instruction to legal counsel regarding changes and
proposed changes in telecommunication and digital information laws, the legal effects of the
changes, including City of Eugene, Oregon v. FCC, et al [City of Yuma] Case No. 19-72219.
