Zionsville Board of Police Commissioners Board of Police Commissioners Meeting February 27, 2012 Bev Harves Room Zionsville Town Hall Present: President Steve Mundy, Commissioner Tim Haak, Commissioner Susana Suarez, Commissioner Susan Nagy, Commissioner Mat Carney Town Manager: Ed Mitro Chief of Police: Robert Knox Call to order: President Mundy Approval of February 6, 2012 Board of Police Commissioner minutes Motion to approve made by Commissioner Haak, Seconded by Commissioner Nagy Approved by unanimous vote Old Business Chief Knox provided commissioners with update on upcoming promotion process for Sergeant of the Operations Division. The department has received applications from three (3) Patrolman II’s for consideration for promotion. They are Officer Sam Dennemann, Officer Bryan Sauer and Officer Bradley Kiefer. Chief Knox advised that the police department will be using IPSP to provide the written examination and hopefully will have more information soon regarding the progress. President Mundy, Commissioner Suarez, Commissioner Haak and Commissioner Nagy were sworn in by Town Manager Ed Mitro as members of the Town of Zionsville Board of Police Commissioners. New Business Chief Knox provided the name of Detective Charles White for consideration for promotion to Detective Sergeant in the Criminal Investigations Division. Motion was made to promote Charles White by Commissioner Carney and seconded by Commissioner Suarez. Motion passed unanimously. Chief Knox passed out new Board of Police Commissioner credentials to President Mundy and Commissioner Suarez. Chief Knox offered to laminate the credentials if Commissioners desired. Chief Knox presented the name of Stephen Kimbrough as a new Zionsville Police Reserve Officer. Motion was made by Commissioner Nagy and seconded by Commissioner Suarez to allow Mr. Kimbrough to become a member of the Zionsville Police Departments Reserve Division. Motion passed unanimously. Chief Knox provided a brief biography of Mr. Kimbrough. No Public Comment was presented. President Mundy discussed vehicle replacement by the Zionsville Police Department. Four (4) vehicles are being traded in and three (3) vehicles will be purchased. Meeting adjourned by President Mundy. Next Meeting: March 26, 2012 at 8:30am in the Bev Harves Room at the Zionsville Town Hall.
