Zionsville Metropolitan Board of Police Commissioners meeting memoranda for January 22, 2019 Present: Vice-President Josh Garrett, Commissioner Brian Traylor, Commissioner Suzanne Nagy, Commissioner Marcia Rosenfeld, Captain Robert Musgrave, Captain Jeff Morris, Captain Charles White, Attorney Heather Willey Not Present: President Susanna Suarez Call to Order: Vice-President Garrett Approval of Minutes from December 17, 2018 meeting: Motion made for approval by Commissioner Traylor, Commissioner Suzanne Nagy seconded the motion. Passed by unanimous vote. Old Business: There was no old business. New Business: 1) Election of President: Vice-President Garrett made a motion to elect Suzanna Suarez as President for 2019. Commissioner Traylor seconded the motion. Motion passed by unanimous vote. 2) Election of Vice-President: Commissioner Traylor made a motion to elect Josh Garrett as Vice-President for 2019. Commissioner Rosenfeld seconded the motion. Motion passed by unanimous vote. 3) Conditional offers of employment: Captain Musgrave presented profiles on the following individuals who the department would like to offer a “Conditional Offer of Employment” to: James Stiles and Cameron Smith. Both of these individuals have passed our interview and background and polygraph processes. They will be eligible for employment after passing their psychological and PERF77 physical exams. There were no concerns from the Board with either of these applicants. Commissioner Garret made a motion to approve the proposed conditional offers of employment. Commissioner Rosenfeld seconded the motion. The motion passed by unanimous vote. 4) Review of Proposed Policies: Captain Morris presented the Commissioners with (6) proposed policies for consideration: a) #430:Civil Disputes b) #505: Disabled Vehicles c) #322: Information Technology d) #37: Missing Persons e) #431: Service of Court Documents f) #321: Standards of Conduct Vice-President Garrett made a motion to discuss the proposed policies as a group for approval. Commissioner Traylor seconded the motion. After a brief discussion the Board voted to approve all the policies. The motion passed by unanimous vote. Public Comment: None Vice-President Garrett made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Commissioner Nagy. Motion passed by unanimous vote. The next regular scheduled meeting of the Zionsville Metropolitan Board of Police Commissioners is scheduled for February 19, 2019 at 8:30am or immediately following the Zionsville Town Council meeting in Room #105 at the Zionsville Town Hall, 1100 West Oak St., Zionsville, Indiana.
