Zionsville Architectural Review Committee Meeting Minutes
Tuesday, February 23rd, 2016
ATTENDEES:

Chair David Rausch opened the meeting at 7:38 am. A quorum was present.
The new appointee to the Committee was discussed to fill Mike Zeller’s vacated seat. New
appointee has not officially been presented to the committee.
AGENDA:
A motion to approve the agenda as proposed was made by David Rausch and seconded by Brad
Johnson. Motion was approved unanimously.
MEETING MINUTES:
The January 26, 2016 meeting minutes will be amended under the Officers paragraph to include
(see below) Officers were unanimously approved. A motion to approve the meeting minutes as
clarified for January 26, 2015 was made by David Rausch and seconded by Brad Johnson. Motion
was approved unanimously.
Officers:
Officers for the Zionsville Architectural Committee were discussed. A motion was made by
Beth Casselman to select David Rausch as President, Brad Johnson as Vice President, and
Mike Billig as Secretary. The motion was seconded by Eileen Davis. Officers were
unanimously approved.
REPORTS:
The 2016 budget was set to $50,000. An encumbered amount of $60,378.00 was carried from 2015
for 130 Hawthorne and 98 Main Street Projects
OLD BUSINESS:
1. Façade Application for 130 Hawthorne St (Chapel):
Bids were being reviewed and finalized. Metal awnings have been installed. Discussion
entailed relative to the “sunburst” supports and exterior lights. Tom will follow up with Eileen
Davis and Mike Chapel to review in more detail. Further discussions were tabled due to
absence of committee member
2. Ancillary Structures Application for 98 South Main (Swack) – Green Wall Dumpster
Enclosure:
No update, work will be weather dependent.
3. Façade Application for 98 South Main St (Swack):
David Rausch gave an update on the Project. Eileen Davis and Tom Casalini are point of
contact with Owner. Interior demolition has started. After some discussion relative to the
changes in the project, it was decided the committee required an update on the exterior
image/elevations of the project. Specific elements to be reviewed included ramp, doors,
windows/mullions, lighting fixtures, and color. The review process for owners was also
discussed. David Rausch will follow up with owner and Eileen Davis.
NEW BUSINESS:
1. None
At 8:27 am David Rausch moved for adjournment. Brad Johnson seconded this motion. Motion was
unanimously approved.
