Zionsville Architectural Review Committee Meeting Minutes Tuesday, March 22nd, 2016 ATTENDEES: Committee Members: • Mike Billig • Eileen Davis • David Rausch • Tom Casalini • Brad Johnson • Beth Casselman • Todd Rottmann Others: • Wayne DeLong Chair David Rausch opened the meeting at 7:37 am. A quorum was present. New appointee Todd Rottmann was welcomed. AGENDA: A motion to approve the agenda as proposed was made by David Rausch and seconded by Eileen Davis. Motion was approved unanimously. MEETING MINUTES: The January 26, 2016 meeting minutes will be amended under Old Business item 3 related to Façade Grant application for 98 South Main Façade Project (see below). A motion to approve the meeting minutes as clarified for February 23, 2015 was made by David Rausch and seconded by Eileen Davis. Motion was approved unanimously. 3. Façade Application for 98 South Main St (Swack): David Rausch gave an update on the Project. Eileen Davis and Tom Casalini are point of contact with Owner. Interior demolition has started. After some discussion relative to the changes in the project, it was decided the committee required an update on the exterior image/elevations of the project. Specific elements to be reviewed included ramp, doors, windows/mullions, lighting fixtures, and color. The review process for owners was also discussed. David Rausch will follow up with owner and Eileen Davis. REPORTS: The 2016 budget was set to $50,000. An encumbered amount of $60,378.00 has been carried from 2015 for 130 Hawthorne and 98 Main Street Projects. OLD BUSINESS: 1. Façade Application for 130 Hawthorne St (Chapel): Metal awnings, sunburst brackets, and lighting design components were discussed. Signage was discussed briefly. Chapel has been contacted. Tom and Eileen to invite owner to next meeting to discuss project.  2. Ancillary Structures Application for 98 South Main (Swack) – Green Wall Dumpster Enclosure: Eileen updated committee regarding the project. The brick corner post/column is being deleted from the project. Eileen to follow up with owner to furnish committee with an updated image and construction of proposed wall. Eileen will request for owner to attend next ZARC meeting to elaborate on proposed design change for committee review and input. 3. Façade Application for 98 South Main St (Swack): Windows and doors are installed. Colors were discussed. Follow up meeting to discuss colors will be coordinated by Eileen and owner. Tuck-pointing and shingle work was discussed. Committee emphasized the process required by owners to have committee review as part of the façade grant. Eileen will request owner to attend next ZARC meeting. Owner to furnish updated façade images and elaborate on any design changes from original concept. NEW BUSINESS: 1.
