Zionsville Architectural Review Committee - Meeting Minutes
Tuesday, June 26th, 2017
ATTENDEES:

Chair David Rausch opened the meeting at 7:31 am. A quorum was present.
AGENDA:
A motion to approve the agenda as proposed was made by Tom Casalini and seconded by Mike
Billig. Motion was approved unanimously.
MEETING MINUTES:
A motion to approve of the May 23rd, 2017 meeting minutes with corrections (spelling of Steve’s
name and deletion of Brad Johnson) was made by Steve Freeland and seconded by Todd
Rottmann. Motion was approved unanimously.
REPORTS:
The ZARC Financials were reviewed. The 2017 budget was set at $50,000. An encumbered
amount of $46,000.00 has been carried from 2016 fiscal year to 2017 for 76 South Main St (Dot
Chapel) Project. The 2016 budget includes pending payouts of $11,750 (76 South Main St) &
$35,000 (95 East Pine St).
OLD BUSINESS:
1. Façade Application for 76 South Main St. (Dot Chapel): Project was updated and is nearing
completion. Tom Casalini to reach out to Applicant to close project.
2. Proposed adjustments to the grant were tabled. No updates.
3. David Rausch recused himself and Todd assumed temporary Chairman.
4. Façade Application for 95 East Pine St (HNK LLC - The Lemonbar): David updated the
committee on potential refinements to the project. Specifics included removal of the awning
on the Eastside. The committee previously approved a maximum grant amount of up to
$35,000 pending several design elements. The applicant will need to present an updated
façade application based on changes on the addition, the mechanical, and facade changes.
A site meeting will be coordinated with the Applicant to review the site.
5. David resumed role as Chairman.
ELECTION of OFFICERS:
The 2017 election of officers was completed. David Rausch offered to serve another term as
Chairman. Todd Rottmann offered to serve as Vice-Chairman. Mike Billig offered to serve as
secretary for the committee. Votes were taken and tallied. In the end, David, Todd, and Mike won
the majority of votes and graciously accepted to serve the town as Chairman, Vice-Chairman, and
Secretary, respectively, for the 2017 year.
NEW BUSINESS:
1. No New Business.
At 8:11 am, David Rausch moved for adjournment. Tom Casalini seconded this motion. Motion was
unanimously approved.
