Pathways Committee Meeting Minutes April 26, 2017 6:00pm Meeting attendees: Art Small Evan Williams Larry Boley Tim Casady Jeff Edmundson Paul Watson Rick Hall Jennifer Kuntz, Guest - Thornhill HOA Prez Prior meeting minutes approved. Ford Road Crossing Marking Paul requested approval for adding markings across Ford Road at Starkey Road for pedestrian safety. The committee gave a recommendation that the Town address the safety of pedestrians from the Thornhill area (communities west of Ford Road) into the downtown area. Paul will follow up with Town officials to address this. Committee Membership Evan noted that there are two positions still unfilled on our committee. Apparently, our TC rep should arrange for approval for new members. Action Item - Elizabeth to get approval for Larry & Rick. 2017 Committee Goals A few items were brought up: - Continue with the Walk & Bike Friendly efforts - Push the Walk Friendly submission out to December - Support the Vonterra initiative including extending our Rail Trail south through it - Update the Master Pathway List and communicate such to Streets/Parks/TC, etc - Push meetings back to every two months - Assign members select pathways for lobbying Master Pathways Map Evan had E-Mailed files of the current Pathways Map to the committee. He also passed out 11x17 printouts of such. Widening Zionsville Road Awaiting Elizabeth's report on this. Reviewing Priority Pathways We looked at all our current priority pathways for updates…Evan will update the Master List and distribute it. Assignments: - Tim to promote pathway A1 (Along Eagle Creek from the 100' Bridge to Creekside Park) - Art to see if path A11 is complete - Evan to see if path A7 is complete - Larry to investigate a possible path from the new Creekside Corporate Park to Williams Glen - Evan to clear the difference between the Inter-Urban rail line and the Abe Lincoln New Subdivisions Evan noted at least three new subdivisions going in, Pemberton, Hampshire, and Inglenook. He will look into pathways included in those plans. Next Meeting - June 27th - Hopefully in the Fireplace Room
