Memoranda of the Minutes (Due to failure of audio; a summary of the minutes is not available) Zionsville Park and Recreation Board Monthly Meeting May 9, 2018 The Zionsville Board of Parks and Recreation met Wed., May 9, 2018 at ~7:10 PM. The meeting took place at the Zionsville Town Hall’s Council Chambers (Room 205). Board members Tim Casady, John Wollenburg, Jeff Edmondson, George Abel and Wayne Bivans were present. Steve Bullington & Park Board Attorney, Roger Burrus were absent. Also present was Park Department Superintendent, Matt Dickey. Minutes Tim Casady made a motion to approve the April 11, 2018 regular board meeting minutes with some minor grammar corrections. Wayne Bivans seconded. The motion passed unanimously. Public Presentation/Comments - None Identified Staff Reports - None Identified New Business -Presentation of Simple Proposal for RoW Services and Possible Action Upon.  Tim Casady motioned with George Abel seconding, passing unanimously to move forward with the proposal and to authorize Park Board President and/or Superintendent to sign. -Consideration of Event which could easily occupy 2/3rds of Mulberry Fields Park’s Resources  George Abel moved with Wayne Bivans seconding and passing unanimously that the special event usage be approved with an attendance cap based on the sponsor pledge of 100 people or less. Parking locations per staff as suggestion. Old Business -Update on other conditions such as mowing situation and necessary Board action.  Motion made by George Abel and seconded by John Wollenburg, passing unanimously that the original low mowing firm made a mistake on their quotes for mowing and we should go with the second place firm; Earth and Turf. -Update on Golf Course Irrigation Project and Possible Authorization to Bid this Fall Construction Project -Possible Discussion Regarding 2019 Budget Request Submission to Town Council (starting development of…) Updates on Park Board’s Citizen Advisory Committees - None Identified Other Board Related Items - None Identified Claims Wayne Bivans made a motion to approve the claims as submitted. Tim Casady seconded and the motion was passed unanimously. Adjournment The meeting was then adjourned with a motion made by George Abel, seconded by John Wollenburg & the vote was unanimous at ~8:45PM.
