I have connected with Marina Bedell of The Village Antique Mall and helped her create the attached initial inquiry form. More information is available for each of the items listed, but wanted to provide the initial form to determine if the CDC Members felt this type of request would merit further review. I believe the enhancement to the Village Antique Mall would be a win for the Zionsville community and as a resident, am supporting Marina by donating my time and energy to help her apply for this grant. She doesn't always feel comfortable in these situations so I told her I would help her in any way I could. Upon receipt of your Assistance Inquiry Form, it will be distributed to the CDC Members for their review.     2. A meeting will be scheduled for you to present your request to the CDC Members. These meetings are scheduled on an "as needed" basis.     3. The CDC Members will make a recommendation in response to your request and forward it to the Zionsville Redevelopment Commission ("RDC"). The RDC is the Town's body which officially renders a decision on the grants requests.     4. At the next possible monthly RDC Meeting, the RDC members will ask you to summarize your request. It is much appreciated. My business plan for 2020 didn’t anticipate the arrival of COVID-19. The pandemic has crippled and eliminated all of my scheduled commercial and corporate work for the entire year, resulting in a 90 percent loss of income. As a photographic portrait artist, not unlike all artists, it has taken a toll on my portrait business. My portrait business model demands a consultation with each client before the creation of their portrait. The CDC safety guidelines, along with the hesitation to gather, have seriously slowed my portrait sessions for the year. To this date, we are down 75 percent. My corporate, commercial, and portrait income would cover all of the expenses in a normal year. To add insult to injury, the manufacture of the professional printers I use to print my portraits has discontinued supplying inks for the printers. Forcing the purchase of two new printers. Also, for the last five years, I have been working on my second book. “The Queerness Doesn’t Matter.”    A Journey With My Friends of Dorothy. I have five years of resources invested in the book. We were planning to launch the book in April, postponed until September, and had to cancel. COVID-19 has forced us to abandon the traditional launch and move toward a virtual launch. We had a videographer scheduled to film the intro and other segments to be used in our social media virtual launch, and he tested positive for COVID, another delay to the launch. Portions of the book's eventual sales will help recover some of the expenses invested over the last five years. Here is the website for the book to give you an understanding of the book.
