Zionsville Pathways Committee Meeting

Pathways Committee Meeting Minutes February 11, 2013 Attendees: Tim Casady Geoff Brown Matt Dickey Bill Spitz Art Small Evan Williams Bicycle Friendly Community Bill noted his progress on the application for BFC status. Said it’s potentially ready for submission, but is holding off to assure it’s as good as it could be. The deadline for this month’s submission is February 26th. Matt briefed us on his efforts to identify current pathways in town and how they’re classified for the BFC. Tim requested our group take a look at the application the Bill sent out to our group…and to let Bill know of any potential improvements. Note the Date - BFC Seminar March 19th. Tim noted 15 people are signed up already for this 8:30am to 3pm seminar. Note the Date - Parks Bike Cruiser Ride/Rodeo Matt noted May 18th was selected for this event. Signage Tim noted Paul’s efforts in identifying where to place signage for select pathways. Matt noted the process (running it by Streets and Safety Board), and where to have signs made. Turkey Foot Pathway Tim noted his upcoming meeting with Steve Mundy, Town Council VP. We’re hoping to get some direction for this project. Oak Street West Pathway Tim noted that Tom estimated this won’t happen this year…and probably lucky if next year. Meetings We’re thinking of reducing the frequency of the meetings now that we’ve basically caught up with our projects. We’ll meet in March but probably take April off meeting again in May.
