Status of Complete Streets was discussed -Lance indicated that he felt that Complete Streets as currently written was not very helpful. However, the Town’s Strategic Implementation Plan was actually Compete Streets on steroids. Art and Bill indicated that they would get with Matt Dickey and see if they could use the Strategic Implementation Plan for Walk Friendly and Bike Friendly. 2. Art indicated that the Lions Club was having there 100th year celebration in 2017 and wanted to do a community project. It was brought up that finishing the pathway from Elm Street Green to Lions Park would be a great project. However, as always we would need landowner approval for an easement along the Eagle Creek. Art will discuss with Lions Club about working on getting the easement and building the pathway. 3. Discussed briefly whether Pathways Committee Master Plan needs any updates given the Park’s new Master Plan and the annexation of Perry Township. 4. Discussed new subdivision on Zionsville Road. How to work on getting easements between south rail trail to be constructed by developer and the 100 foot bridge (current end of rail trail). Probably need to work on hashing this out for future planning at future meetings. 5. Paul discussed the need for crosswalks. Lance indicated that there was a limit to what can be done and that he felt that they were not necessarily safe given that they mighty give pedestrians a false sense of security. 6. Brent brought up a questions as to whether there was any planning for widening roadways for bike lanes. Lance indicated that currently there were no plans for bike lanes except for Zionsville Road reconstruction. 7. Lance indicated that the Town is now building Bloor Road pathway/sidewalk, adding a small extension along West Oak Street and fixing other sidewalks around Town. 8.
