Zionsville Pathways Committee Meeting

July 15, 2021 Pathways Committee Meeting Minutes Members Present: Quincy Cunningham, Justin Hage, Emily Makinson, Mark McDonald, MJ Deras Solorzano The meeting was called to order after the sudden rainstorm approximately 6:45p.m. 1. Justin and Quincy summarized their meet with Mayor Styron: Discussed Wayfinding how it could be used on trails Mile markers TrailLights idea Partnering with Pedestrian Mobility Access Committee Putting together a pathways “wish list” for the Mayor’s office 2. Justin reached out to Josh Garrett. Discussed committee going in front of Town Council to talk about initiatives and ideas. 3. Recapped Sarah’s email about Tails and Tales summer reading program and addition of Trails component. Elm Street Green is the most visited trail on the summer reading Trails to Try list. 4. Discussed TrailLights: Can we accomplish this by December? Is it even feasible? Discuss with Jarod (Where should it be? What are the needs? Corporate Sponsorship?) Get Quotes from lighting Vendors Secondary location option at Elm Street Green If not this December, can we lay the groundwork for next year 5. Discussed Brad Gressel email about Holliday Farms developer deviation from the Zionsville pathway plan. Discussed need for clarification on our role as liason between town and community with regard to this kind of issues and need for more background from Town leaders about this particular proposal. 5. Future meetings will be the 2nd Thursday of the month. Meetings will be held at Elm Street Green, weather dependent. 6. Action Items: • Justin to email Jarod Logsdon and set up TrailLights conversation • Justin to email Duke  • Justin to email Corky Huston • Quincy to find out who does lights at Newfields • Justin follow up with Wayne DeLong and Brad Gressel re: Holliday farms • Emily to reach out to Lance Lantz re: Holliday Farms path 7.
