MEETING MEMORANDA
FOR
Monday, November 20, 2017 at 7:30 AM

Members Present: Josh Garrett, President; Bryan Traylor, Vice-President; Elizabeth Hopper, Jason Plunkett, Kevin Spees, Tom Schuler
and Susanna Suarez
Members Absent: None
Also Present: Tim Haak, Mayor; Ed Mitro, Deputy Mayor; Amy Lacy, Director of Finance & Records and Town Department Staff.
1. OPENING
A. Call meeting to order
B. Pledge of Allegiance
2. APPROVAL OF THE MEMORANDUM OF THE November 6, 2017 REGULAR MEETING (copy posted).
COUNCIL ACTION: Councilor Spees moved to approve the Memoranda of the November 6, 2017 Town Council Meeting.
Councilor Plunkett seconded the motion.
The Memoranda of the November 6, 2017 meeting was approved by a vote of six in favor, zero opposed.
3. REQUEST TO SPEAK
There were no requests to speak.
4. OLD BUSINESS
A. Consideration of an Ordinance Establishing the Compensation to be paid to Officials and Employees of the Town of
Zionsville, Indiana for Fiscal Year 2018 (Salary Ordinance) (FINAL READING). RESOLUTION #2017-15
Deputy Mayor Mitro reviewed Ordinance #2017-15.
COUNCIL ACTION: Vice President Traylor moved to adopt Ordinance #2017-15 on final reading. Councilor Hopper
seconded the motion.
Ordinance #2017-15 was adopted on final reading by a vote of six in favor, zero opposed.
5. NEW BUSINESS
A. Consideration of the 2018 Budget for the Zionsville Wastewater Department/Utility.
Wastewater Superintendent Barry Cook presented his 2018 budget, stating that it was fully funded and he was not
requesting a rate increase for 2018.
COUNCIL ACTION: Councilor Spees moved to approve the 2018 Town of Zionsville Wastewater Department and Utility
Budget. Councilor Hopper seconded the motion. The budget was approved by a vote of six in favor, zero opposed
Councilor Suarez joined the meeting at this time.
6. OTHER MATTERS
There were no other matters to discuss,
7. APPROVAL OF CLAIMS
There were no claims to approve at this time.
8. ADJOURN
COUNCIL ACTION: Councilor Hopper moved to adjourn the meeting and Councilor Plunkett seconded the motion. The motion
was approved by a vote of seven in favor, zero opposed.
The next regular Town Council meeting is scheduled for Monday December 4, 2017 @ 7:00 PM in the Zionsville Town Hall Council
Chambers.
