ZIONSVILLE TOWN COUNCIL MEETING MEMORANDA FOR Monday November 19, 2018 at 7:30 AM Zionsville Town Hall Council Chamber 1100 West Oak Street Date of Preparation: November 19, 2018 Members Present: Josh Garrett, President; Bryan Traylor, Vice-President; Kevin Spees, Susana Suarez, Elizabeth Hopper Members Absent: Tom Schuler, Jason Plunkett Also Present: Tim Haak, Mayor; Ed Mitro, Deputy Mayor; Adam Steuerwald, Town Attorney; Amy Lacy, Director of Finance & Records, and Town Department Staff. 1. OPENING A. Call meeting to order B. Pledge of Allegiance 2. APPROVAL OF THE MEMORANDUM OF THE NOVEMBER 05, 2018 REGULAR MEETING (copy posted). COUNCIL ACTION: President Garrett moved to approve the Memoranda of the November 5, 2018 Town Council Meeting. Councilor Spees seconded the motion. The Memoranda of the November 5, 2018 meeting was approved by a vote of four in favor, zero opposed. Councilor Suarez joined the meeting at this time 3. PRESENTATION ON THE ZIONSVILLE SUPER GAUGE MONITORING STATION ON EAGLE CREEK – USGS Hydrologist Timothy Lathrop gave a detailed report on Eagle Creek watershed and the Eagle Creek Gauge Monitoring Station. He then answered questions from the Council. 4. REQUEST TO SPEAK There were no requests to speak. 5. OLD BUSINESS A. Consideration of an Ordinance to rezone approximately 73.30 acres from the (AG) Agricultural Zoning District to the Rural (I-1) Light Industrial Zoning District (forwarded from the Plan Commission with a favorable recommendation). ORIDINANCE #2018-23 Attorney Matt Price, representing the petitioner Van Trust Real Estate, LLC and Attorney Jeffrey Jacob, representing homeowners from the Saratoga subdivision, requested a continuance on the matter. COUNCIL ACTION: President Garrett moved to continue item #5A concerning Ordinance #2018-23. Councilor Hopper seconded the motion. Item #5A, Ordinance #2018-23 was continued to the December 3, 2018 Town Council meeting by a vote of five in favor, zero opposed. 6. NEW BUSINESS - None 7. OTHER MATTERS Deputy Mayor Mitro presented the schedule of meetings for 2019. COUNCIL ACTION: Vice-President Traylor moved to approve the 2019 schedule of meetings. Councilor Spees seconded the motion. The motion was approved by a vote of five in favor, zero opposed. 8. ADJOURN COUNCIL ACTION: Councilor Hopper moved to adjourn the meeting. Councilor Suarez seconded the motion. The motion was approved by a vote of five in favor, zero opposed.
