16738 CITY COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS City Council Chambers, 123 South Lincoln Street, Municipal Building, Aberdeen, South Dakota, June 27, 2016, 5:30 p.m., regular meeting of the Board of City Council Members, Mayor Mike Levsen presiding. Present at roll call were City Council Members David Bunsness, Todd Campbell, Mark Remily, Rob Ronayne, Clint Rux, and Jennifer Slaight-Hansen. City Council Member Alan Johnson was absent. City Staff present were Lynn Lander, Ron Wager, Robin Bobzien, Brett Bill, Jordan McQuillen, and Dave McNeil. Mayor Levsen led the Pledge of Allegiance. MINUTES Rux moved, Slaight-Hansen seconded to approve the minutes of June 20, 2016, as circulated. All present voting aye, motion carried. OPEN FORUM – No one was present. All present voting aye, motion carried. NEW BUSINESS HEARING ON ALCOHOL LICENSE This being the time and place set for a hearing on an application for Special One-Day Retail Liquor License on July 8, 2016 for the Yelduz Shriners, recommendations received were to approve, Ronayne moved, Remily seconded to approve the Special One-Day Retail Liquor License on July 8, 2016 for the Yelduz Shriners dba Smith Wedding Reception at 802 S. Main Street. All present voting aye, motion carried. REQUEST FOR TAX ABATEMENT 16739 Bunsness moved, Remily seconded to approve a property tax abatement for Justin Reinbold at 1119 – 17th Avenue, SW in the amount of $981.50 of which City’s Share being $296.50. All present voting aye, motion carried. BOARD REAPPOINTMENTS Remily moved, Ronayne seconded to approve the reappointment of Thomas Guhin and Peter Ramey to the Aberdeen Library Board of Trustees both for a second three-year term ending June 30, 2019. All present voting aye, motion carried. BILLS Remily moved, Bunsness seconded to approve the following audited bills for services, supplies, repairs, and maintenance: Aberdeen Area Arts Council 8,400.00; Business Improvement District 3,461.16; Habitat for Humanity 5,000.00; Aberdeen Community Concert 2,000.00; CVB 25,291.84; Fleet Services 230.95; Claims Associates 250.00; Dakotacare 115,129.84; DART, LLC 27.77; Stephanie Griese 26.20; Annette Schwan 22.19; Curtis Mitchell 40.24; Helen Spencer 40.96; Marv Dombrowe 37.21; Grant Manhart 23.42. Upon roll call, all present voting aye, motion carried.
