were unable to be approved as no quorum present. Will be approved at August 2016 meeting.
1.3 Due to treasurer Laura Stoltenburg’s absence, Doris Stusiak reviewed the submitted treasurer’s
report. Due to no quorum present, treasurer’s report was unable to be approved. This will occur
at August 2016 meeting.
2. Committee Reports
2.1. BAD- No Report. Will put on November agenda to discuss BAD 2017. Evaluations from the 2016
event should be tallied soon.

2.3. Transportation – Cody Roggatz reported the airport had a safety audit in May and only had one
write up. Construction on runway is occurring now. Passenger #s are up. Tom Wanttie reported
that an inspection following the completion of the handrail at the RideLine office showed that
there needs to be an additional 4 foot of rail added, which will occur soon. RideLine will be
providing transportation to/from Brown County Fair. 2 busses will run in the afternoon and 3 in
the evening. All busses will have wheelchair lifts. The cost will be $2.00/one way ride. The same
bus stops as in the past will be utilized. Eric Vetter suggested letting the public know about the
charge because the bussing provided by the previous company had been free to the public.
2.4. Educational Enhancement Award – Only one application has been received. Cindy Kirschman will
send reminder of application due date to the disability coordinators at NSU and PC.
2.5. NDEAM – Committee has been meeting but no official report.
2.6. ADA Anniversary Celebration – Event will be held Thursday, July 21, starting at 5:30 on Main

prizes are welcome. NEMHC will be donating $50.00 of movie tickets for door prizes. Food
supplies will be purchased at Ken’s Fairway ($25.00 donation from Ken’s), and McDonalds is
donating the juice. Donation jars will be set out for FallOut Creative Community. Tom Wanttie
moved to approve up to $300 to be spent on the ADA celebration. Deb Kambel seconded the
motion. Because there wasn’t a quorum present, Doris Stusiak will send out an email for a vote
on this motion. (Addendum: Motion carried via email vote)
3. Old Business
3.1. Brown County Fair Participation (Eric Vetter, Doris Stusiak) – Dale Jones, Juggler, will be
performing on Sunday, August 21, at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm at the NVC tent. Committee
members are encouraged to attend one of his performances.

determine if Mayor’s Advisory Committee will participate. Last year’s participation in the parade
by committee members was minimal.
4. New Business
4.1. ADA Education and Reform Act of 2015 (Eric Vetter) – Eric reported on a bill that states when a
letter is sent to someone about an ADA concern, there is certain formal language that must be
included. The bill hasn’t passed yet. Eric sent an email to Rep. Kristi Noem regarding the reason
for this bill but has not gotten a response yet. Eric suggested that other Committee members
email Rep. Noem as well in order to add more emphasis to the concern.
4.2 Citizen Access Concerns – Barb Walker, guest, voiced concerns she had with various businesses.
Accessible parking and heavy doors were her main concerns at Ruby Tuesday, Perkins and ARCC.
