Mayor’s Advisory Committee for People with Disabilities Agenda Meeting Date: Tuesday, April 17, 2018 Start Time: 12 p.m. End Time: 1 p.m. Location: City Hall 2nd Floor Conference Room Purpose: Regular scheduled meeting 1. Standing Items 1.1 Any additions to agenda? NONE 1.2 Review and approve minutes from March 2018 Meeting Corrections to the minutes – Correct spelling – Mendy Jones, Gwyn Fischbach, Allison Daschle Becca made motion to accept the minutes, after correction, and Krista 2nded the motion. All in favor. 1.3 Review and approve Treasurer’s report from March 2018 Meeting Laura was absent but provided Tom with report. We recently received $3000 from City of Aberdeen. The total operating budget for FY 2018 is $4196.75. BAD wrist bracelets from GeffDog cost $512. SDRehabACTion will be sending a check for $500 to go towards this. Eric made a motion that the remaining $12.00 be paid with money set aside for BAD. Doris seconded. All in Favor. Krista made motion to approve treasurers report, with a 2nd from Eric. All in favor. 1.4 Excused absence: Deb Kambel, Nancy Kelsey, Cody Roggatz, Laura Stoltenberg, Tyler Goldade, Andrea Overman, Ardell Fiedler, DaLita Meyer 2. Committee Reports 2.1 BAD – April 27 - T-shirt discussion for Volunteers 390 5th grade students will be attending this event. Presenters have been secured for the 8 stations. More volunteers are needed for the day, 8:00-3:00pm, or even part of the day. Committee will be meeting the day prior to set up rooms at the Civic Arena. T-shirt discussion – A discussion was held regarding Mayor’s Advisory t-shirts for committee members to wear at community events. Eric made a motion to purchase t-shirts with Mayor’s Advisory logo on them, seconded by Steve. Krista B will check into availability and cost of t-shirts from DSS and discussion will continue at May meeting. 2.2 Partners in Community Pride – Eric reported there will be a block party on May 11-12 on Main Street. Many family friendly activities will be taking place. More musicians are needed. 2.3 Transportation – RideLine drivers are needed, along with temporary dispatcher. 2.4 Education Enhancement Award – tabled until June 2.5 NDEAM – tabled until May 2.6 ADA Anniversary Celebration – Tentative date is set for July 27, working with Dan at Red Rooster Coffee House. 3. Old Business 3.1 Membership Forms – Cindy will get a list to Tom as to who has not completed their membership forms with committee assignments.
