BUILDING, GROUNDS, CEMETERY, RECYCLE COMMITTEE June 10, 2025 The regular meeting of the Building, Grounds and Cemetery Committee was called to order by Chairperson Bert Hefty, at 6:30 p.m. at the Albany Village Hall, 206 North Water Street, Albany, WI. Members present were: Bert Hefty, Tonya Stephen and Kimberly Klein. Absent: Elisabeth Briggs and David King. Also present: Lonnie Gill and Todd Runaas. Proof of posting was verified. MINUTES: Motion by Klein, seconded by Stephan, to approve the minutes of the last meeting as printed. All ayes. Motion carried. RESIDENTIAL BURN BARRELS: Much discussion regarding residential burning using burn barrels; police department to hand out citations to violators; recycle center discontinue selling burn barrels; will need to bring the ordinance back to a meeting for more discussion. RECYCLE CENTER BRUSH PILE: The chipping of the brush pile will begin on Wednesday, June 11. Much discussion on complaints regarding non-residents dumping on brush pile even though it is marked; the brush pile is for village residents only. The current surveillance will be reviewed and violators will be cited; the committee will look into possible times and dates for brush drop off due to illegal dumping. ANNOUNCEMENT AND FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS: Residential burning and brush pile. ADJOURNMENT: Motion by Stephan, seconded by Klein, to adjourn. All ayes. Motion carried.
