FINANCE AND INSURANCE COMMITTEE
October 20, 2023
The Finance and Insurance Committee was called to order by Chairperson Michelle Monson on
Friday, October 20, 2023 in the Albany Village Hall at 6:30 P.M. Members present were: Monson,
Kim Blumer, Roald Henderson and Larry Ommodt. Absent: Barb Briggs. Also present were:
Michelle Brewer, Lonnie Gill and Bob Ritter.
Proof of posting was verified.
2024 BUDGET: The committee went through each line of the budget and
discussed/recommended each amount; with some minor adjustments, a balanced budget was
achieved. Motion by Blumer, seconded by Henderson, to recommend the 2024 budget in the
amount of $1,196,619.00. Carried.
2024 SET ASIDES: After reviewing the 2024 Set Asides; motion by Blumer, seconded by
Ommodt, to approve the 2024 Carryovers totaling $93,302. Carried.
CONCERS/ANNOUNCEMENTS/FUTURE ITEMS: Discussion on ways to increase the
revenue for the village; this will be looked at in the future.
ADJOURN: Motion by Blumer, seconded by Ommodt, to adjourn. Carried.
