FINANCE AND INSURANCE COMMITTEE
October 16, 2024
The Finance and Insurance Committee was called to order by Chairperson Michelle Monson on
Wednesday, October 16, 2024 in the Albany Village Hall at 6:30 P.M. Members present were:
Monson, Kim Blumer and Larry Ommodt. Absent: Barb Briggs. Also present were: Michelle
Brewer, Lonnie Gill and Robert Ritter.
Proof of posting was verified.
UNCASHED CHECKS: A list of uncashed checks ranging from years 2019 to 2022 were reviewed.
Brewer believes checks #34204 and #2275 were previously voided, but did not find records for
those. Motion by Blumer, seconded by Ommodt, to void the list of checks including check
numbers: 33111, 34204, 34508, 34716, 1679, Auto, and 2275 totaling $915.50. Carried.
2025 BUDGET: The committee went through each line of the budget and
discussed/recommended each amount; with some minor adjustments, a balanced budget was
achieved. Motion by Blumer, seconded by Ommodt, to recommend the 2025 budget in the amount
of $1,228,069.00. Carried.
2025 SET ASIDES: After reviewing the 2025 Set Asides; motion by Blumer, seconded by Ommodt,
to approve the 2025 Carryovers totaling $93,302. Carried.
CONCERNS/ANNOUNCEMENTS/FUTURE ITEMS: Nothing.
ADJOURN: Motion by Blumer, seconded by Ommodt, to adjourn. Carried.
