POLICE, FIRE AND LICENSE COMMITTEE December 17, 2024 The regular meeting of the Police, Fire and License Committee was called to order by Chairperson Fred Johnson at 6:30 p.m. in the Albany Village Hall, 206 North Water Street, Albany, WI. Members present were: Johnson, Michelle Monson, Tonya Stephan, Deanna Hubert and Dennis Atkinson, Chief Robert Ritter and Chief Justin Mueller. Also present: Abel Schultz, Scott Roth, Kathy Pennington, Kim Blumer, Sterling Evert, John Marx, Bert Hefty, Dave Black, Brian Hauri, Brandon Williams and Brooke Helley. Proof of posting was verified. Meeting called to order at 6:30 p.m. MINUTES: Motion by Monson, seconded by Hubert, to approve the previous minutes as printed. Carried. PUBLIC APPEARANCES: None POLICE CHIEF CONCERNS: Chief Ritter reported that Officer Clay Spooner successfully graduated from the police academy and will have two months of field training. FIRE CHIEF CONCERNS: None FIRE DEPARTMENT 2% COMPLIANCE: Pump inspections are completed. It was requested that Chief Mueller provide copies of all fire inspections to Village Clerk by 01/01/2025. FIRE DEPARTMENT AUDIT: Chief Mueller was reminded about the December 31, 2024 deadline for substantial completion of full financial audit of Albany Fire Department. OPERATOR’S LICENSES: None TRAINING: Green County Emergency Management would like to provide active shooter training in the near future to all Police, Fire and EMS personnel in Green County.
