POLICE, FIRE AND LICENSE COMMITTEE October 22, 2024 The regular meeting of the Police, Fire and License Committee was called to order by Chairperson Fred Johnson at 6:30 p.m. in the Albany Village Hall, 206 North Water Street, Albany, WI. Members present were: Johnson, Michelle Monson, Tonya Stephan, Scott Roth, Dennis Atkinson, Fire Chief Justin Mueller and Police Chief Robert Ritter. Absent: Deanna Hubert. Also present: Kim Blumer and Sterling Evert. Proof of posting was verified. MINUTES: Motion by Atkinson, seconded by Monson, to approve the minutes of the previous meeting. Carried. PUBLIC APPEARANCES: None POLICE CHIEF CONCERNS: Chief Ritter reported that the new squad is ordered and is expected to be delivered in December. FIRE DEPARTMENT DOOR LOCK SYSTEM: Chief Mueller to bring to bring pricing quotes to November meeting. FIRE DEPARTMENT HAZMAT BILLING: Motion by Stephen, seconded by Monson, to bring proposed price sheet to full board for approval as presented. Carried. FIRE DEPARTMENT AUDIT: Committee requested full audit price and timeline for next meeting. FIRE DEPARTMENT INSURANCE: League of Wisconsin Municipalities confirmed insurance coverage for new fire truck. FIRE DEPARTMENT BYLAWS: Fire Department did not have a quorum for the last meeting, so no action was taken. OPERATOR’S LICENSES: None. TRAINING: Chief Ritter will be attending active school shooter training in Middleton October 24, 2024. ANNOUNCEMENT AND FUTURE ITEMS: Fire Department audit on agenda for full board review and possible motion. Hazard Material price sheet to full board for approval. Chief Mueller to bring line-item plan to pass state inspection in January to next meeting. ADJOURN: Motion by Monson, seconded by Atkinson, to adjourn. Carried.
