POLICE, FIRE AND LICENSE COMMITTEE September 24, 2024 The regular meeting of the Police, Fire and License Committee was called to order by Chairperson Fred Johnson at 6:30 p.m. in the Albany Village Hall, 206 North Water Street, Albany, WI. Members present were: Johnson, Michelle Monson, Tonya Stephan, Scott Roth, Fire Chief Justin Mueller, and Police Chief Robert Ritter. Absent: Dennis Atkinson and Deanna Hubert. Also present: Able Schultz, Brian Hauri, Justin Eastwood, Justin Parker, Lona Graves, Brooke Helley and Brandon Williams. Proof of posting was verified. MINUTES: Motion by Monson, seconded by Stephan, to approve the minutes of the previous meeting. Carried. PUBLIC APPEARANCES: Graves voiced concern regarding a recent Fire/EMS call. FIRE CHIEF CONCERNS: Chief Mueller presented the 2025 fire department budget; however, it will need to be amended due to some recent changes. Some discussion about amending next year’s fire truck budget. POLICE CHIEF CONCERNS: Chief Ritter gave an update on the new police SUV. FIRE DEPARTMENT BYLAWS: Nothing. 2025 BUDGET: The 2025 police budget was presented; no changes were made. OPERATOR’S LICENSES: Motion by Monson, seconded by Stephan, to approve operator’s licenses for Teresa Barry, Ashley Finley and Diana Gilden; and Angela Menehan contingent on her completion of responsible server’s course. Carried. ANNOUNCEMENT AND FUTURE ITEMS: Date and cost for Fire Department third party financial audit; Fire Department insurance update in regard to new fire truck and antique fire truck; Fire Department Bylaws; Fire Department Budget; and wording changes regarding quorum of Township of Albany board members.
