POLICE, FIRE AND LICENSE August 27, 2024 The regular meeting of the Police, Fire and License Committee was called to order by Chairperson Fred Johnson at 6:30 p.m. in the Albany Village Hall, 206 North Water Street, Albany, WI. Members present were: Johnson, Michelle Monson, Tonya Stephan, Deanna Hubert, Denny Atkinson, Fire Chief Justin Mueller and Police Chief Robert Ritter. Absent: Doug Lawrence. Also present: Kim Blumer, Brian Hauri, Brandon Williams, Luke Eastwood, Brooke Helley, Sterling Evert, Mark Reidel, Clay Spooner, Abel Schultz & Scott Roth of Albany Township. Proof of posting was verified. MINUTES: Motion by Stephan, seconded by Hubert, to approve the minutes of the previous meeting. Carried. PUBLIC APPEARANCES: None. POLICE CHIEF CONCERNS: Chief Ritter reported that the Riverfest weekend went well and thanked the Fire Department for their help with the parade traffic. Spooner is doing good at the police academy. POLICE SQUAD CAR: Ritter will bring costs to the September village board meeting. ALBANY TOWNSHIP FIRE DEPARTMENT CONTRACT: The township would like to look at updating the current agreement. FIRE CHIEF CONCERNS: Chief Mueller reported that their SAM number has been received. The Fire Department Bylaws is being taken to the next fire department meeting as the last meeting did not have a quorum. There are currently nine active fire department members. The new fire truck has been received and the plan is to sell truck 702. FIRE DEPARTMENT AUTOMATIC AID: Chief Mueller reported that automatic aid is in place. OPERATOR’S LICENSES: Nothing. TRAINING: Chief Ritter mentioned there is an incident command training on September 12, 2024. ANNOUNCEMENT AND FUTURE ITEMS: Fire Department Bylaws.
