POLICE, FIRE AND LICENSE COMMITTEE March 25, 2025 The regular meeting of the Police, Fire and License Committee was called to order by Chairperson Fred Johnson at 6:30 p.m. in the Albany Village Hall, 206 North Water Street, Albany, WI. Members present were: Johnson, Tonya Stephan, Deanna Hubert, Dennis Atkinson, Scott Roth – Albany Township, Fire Chief Brian Hauri, and Police Chief Robert Ritter. Absent: Michelle Monson. Also present: Kim Blumer, Alan Hodkiewicz-Brooklyn Township, Able Schults – Albany Township, Sterling Evert, David King, Luke Eastwood, Brandon Wiliams and Brooke Helley. Proof of posting was verified. MINUTES: Motion by Johnson, seconded by Stephan, to approve the minutes of the previous meeting. Carried. PUBLIC APPEARANCES: None. FIRE CHIEF UPDATES: Chief Hauri reported that the department currently consists of 21 members. For the month of March, the department responded to 13 calls. FIRE DEPARTMENT REMODEL: Motion by Johnson, seconded by Stephan, to have the department get pricing to remodel the upper Messana for storage. All ayes. Motion carried. POLICE CHIEF UPDATE: Chief Ritter reported that the new squad car was received in March and is currently waiting for the license plates and squad graphics to be put on. The new laptops, desktops and radios have been ordered. The new part-time officer Wright was sworn in. OPERATOR’S LICENSES: None. ANNOUNCEMENT AND FUTURE ITEMS: None.
