STREET AND UTILITY COMMITTEE July 7, 2025 The regular meeting of the Street and Utility Committee was called to order at 6:30 p.m. in the Albany Village Hall by Chairperson Fred Johnson. Members present were: Johnson, Bert Hefty, Kim Blumer, Jim Mauerman and Brooke Helley. Also present: Lonnie Gill, Ex-Officio, Brian Hauri, and Andrew Skog of Mead & Hunt. Proof of posting was verified. MINUTES: Motion by Mauerman, seconded by Hefty, to approve the previous minutes as printed. All ayes. Motion carried. SEWER LINE / MANHOLE SLIPLINE: Slip lining of 4,860 feet of sewer lining will be installed this year. McCANNS UNDERGROUND MAINTENANCE CONTRACT: Motion by Blumer, seconded by Hefty, to accept same pricing as last year for McCann’s contract. All ayes. Motion carried. NEW SERVICE UTILITY HOOK-UP RATES: Motion by Blumer, seconded by Hefty, to set a $3,000 fee for all R1 zoned new sewer hook ups; this fee will include a standard water line. Any sewer and/or water services that are larger will incur additional charges. All ayes. Motion carried. UPDATE ON WELL #2: The repairs on Well #2 to start after July 7, 2025; motor saver device is currently showing a fault code for high water level, further work is needed. WATER QUALITY TRADING / NOTICE OF NONCOMPLIANCE: The 2024 phosphorous credit for the sewer ponds is out of compliance by 16 credits over the limit. A letter of non-compliance was received from the DNR and Skog will respond accordingly. TRAINING: Motion by Johnson, seconded by Helley, to send Gill to the WRWA Outdoor Expo training on August 28, 2025 at a cost of $110. All ayes. Motion carried.
