STREET AND UTILITY COMMITTEE September 7th, 2022 The regular meeting of the Street and Utility Committee was called to order at 6:30 p.m. in the Albany Village Hall by Chairperson Larry Nipple. Members present were: Nipple, Eileen Althaus, Jim Mauerman and Roald Henderson. Also present:, Lonnie Gill, Ex-Officio, and Tim Astfalk of Mead and Hunt Proof of posting was verified. MINUTES: Motion by Mauerman, seconded by Henderson, to approve the previous minutes as printed. Carried. SEWER POND UPGRADE / PHOSPHORUS REMOVAL: Project is still waiting for lights and heater before final completion. Electrician has light, but heaters are currently on back order. Waiting to install when all parts are in. SEWER MANHOLES AND SLIP LINING 2022 / 2023: Tabled until next meeting. STORM SEWER ASSESSMENT FOR PREVIOUSLY DEVELOPED LOTS: After discussion, it was concluded that this committee should not move forward with assessing previous developments. This will need to be addressed for future developments with the proper committee. ENERGENICS STANDPIPE UPGRADE FOR SCADA, RAISING ANTENNA AND NEW DOOR SEAL: Motion by Nipple, seconded by Mauerman to upgrade the water standpipe, Scada Antenna, and to repair door seal for costs not to exceed $3810.00. Carried. GREEN COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PLAN: Tabled until next meeting. County has not yet finalized the plan. BOBCAT SKID LOADER REPLACEMENT: Gill advised the committee that he would be getting a demonstration of a Bobcat “Toolcat” that might be better use in the village. No action. REPLACEMENT OF BACKHOE OR 2009 F450 TRUCK: Permission given to Gill to explore costs for these items and to see how they might fit in future budgets. TRAINING: Nothing. ANNOUNCEMENTS AND FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS: Gill brought up emergency siren repairs. He was asked to see how this item is to be paid for. ADJOURNMENT: Motion by Mauerman, seconded by Althaus, to adjourn.
