STREET AND UTILITY COMMITTEE May 6th, 2024 The regular meeting of the Street and Utility Committee was called to order at 6:30 p.m. in the Albany Village Hall by Acting Chairperson Kim Blumer. Members present were: Kim Blumer, Bert Hefty, Roald Henderson, Jim Mauerman and Eileen Althaus. Also present: Kimberly Klein, Lonnie Gill, Ex-Officio, and Andrew Skog of Mead & Hunt. Proof of posting was verified. MINUTES: Motion by Blumer, seconded by Mauerman, to approve the previous minutes as printed. Carried. REIMER FARMS PHOPHORUS PAYMENT: Motion by Blumer, seconded by Althaus, to approve the payment to Reimer Farms for phosphorus credits. Carried. SEWER LINE & MANHOLE UPDATE: Sewer line and manhole update is not done yet, will bring back to the meeting next month. WATER TOWER AND STANDPIPE CLEANING OPENING: Bid opening for water tower and standpipe cleaning were as follows: Maquire $5350.00; Central Tank Coating $22,500.00; Water Tank $17,750.00; and USC Water Solutions $7,630.00. Motion by Hefty, seconded by Mauerman, to accept bid from Maquire in the amount of $5350.00. Carried ORDINANCE 114-5 (E) 2&3 PROPOSED CHANGES: Motion by Henderson, seconded by Hefty, to approve 114-5 changes for culvert replacement with the addition of the property owner shall keep culverts unobstructed and clean as paragraph #4; and adding other before replacement culverts will be provided by village at property owner’s expense in paragraph #3. Carried. SALE OF TRUCK #1: Gill to talk to school about buying Truck #1. Tabled until next month. TRAINING: Motion by Hefty, seconded by Blumer, to send Gill to Plover for Sanitary Collections system training at a cost of $110.00. Carried. Motion by Althaus, seconded by Blumer, to send Dan Blumer to Watertown on June 6th, 2024 to Collection System seminar at a cost of $45.00. Carried.
