STREET AND UTILITY August 5, 2024 The regular meeting of the Street and Utility Committee was called to order immediately after the public hearing at 6:30 p.m. in the Albany Village Hall by Chairperson Bert Hefty. Members present were: Hefty, Kim Blumer and Jim Mauerman. Absent: Fred Johnson. Also present: Lonnie Gill, Ex- Officio and Andrew Skog of Mead & Hunt. Proof of posting was verified. MINUTES: Motion by Blumer, seconded by Mauerman, to approve the previous minutes as printed. Carried. PUBLIC HEARING – WASTEWATER COLLECTION SYSTEM FACILITIES PLAN DRAFT: Skog presented the Wastewater Collection System Facilities Plan draft during the public hearing. Motion by Blumer, seconded by Mauerman, to submit the proposal with the sanitary sewer upgrades only. Carried. L.S. 5 SLIP LINING AND MANHOLE SEWER UPDATE: Much discussion on how this process is completed. WATER QUALITY TRAINING PROJECT INSPECTION REPORT: Skog presented the preliminary report and the final will be done in the fall. DRAINAGE ALONG NORTH CINCINNATI STREET: Gill reported there needs to be culverts in on North Cincinnati Street near the old Landmark building. Motion by Blumer, seconded by Mauerman, to have Gill order the culverts and install. Carried. BUDGET UPDATE: Reviewed current status of Streets budget. TRAINING: Motion by Blumer, seconded by Hefty, to send Gill to the Rodeo in Plover, WI on August 22, 2024 at a cost of $85. Carried. ANNOUNCEMENTS AND FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS: Gill reported there was a sewage backup in the village after the last storm. Gill mentioned he is looking at retiring in about three years; may want to start looking at hiring. ADJOURNMENT: Motion by Blumer, seconded by Mauerman, to adjourn. Carried.
