STREET AND UTILITY COMMITTEE August 4, 2025 The regular meeting of the Street and Utility Committee was called to order at 6:30 p.m. in the Albany Village Hall by Chairperson Fred Johnson. Members present were: Johnson, Kim Blumer, Burt Hefty, Brooke Helley and Jim Mauerman. Also present: Lonnie Gill, Ex-Officio and Andrew Skog of Mead & Hunt. Proof of posting was verified. MINUTES: Motion by Mauerman, seconded by Hefty, to approve the previous minutes as printed. All ayes. Motion carried. SANITARY SEWER REHAB DECISION: Motion by Mauerman, seconded by Hefty, to add seven additional manhole covers to defective sanitary sewer project. All ayes. Motion carried. Field inspections to be done ahead of DNR inspections. LETTER OF RESPONSE TO DNR ON NOTICE OF NONCOMPLIANCE: A letter was sent by Mead & Hunt on behalf of the village in response to letter of noncompliance; most likely will need to use more chemicals and perform more testing to become compliant. CLEAN WATER FUND LOAN REIMBURSEMENT RESOLUTION: Motion by Blumer, seconded by Hefty, to have Mead & Hunt draft the resolution to be presented at the August board meeting for approval. All ayes. Motion carried. WELL INSPECTION UPDATE: Gill reported that the scada system is having issues; well #2 is back online and well #1 will be completed by the end of September. L.S. #7 REPAIR UPDATE: Gill reported that the motor saver for lift station has been installed and is working. TRAINING: None. ANNOUNCEMENTS AND FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS: None.
