STREET AND UTILITY COMMITTEE December 1, 2025 The regular meeting of the Street and Utility Committee was called to order at 6:30 p.m. in the Albany Village Hall by Chairperson Fred Johnson. Members present were: Johnson, Bert Hefty, Brooke Helley and Jim Mauerman. Absent: Kim Blumer. Also present: Lonnie Gill, Ex-Officio, and Andrew Skog of Mead & Hunt. Proof of posting was verified. MINUTES: Motion by Hefty, seconded by Mauerman, to approve the previous minutes as printed. Carried. SEWER LINE / MANHOLE SLIPLINE: Nothing. ALBANY WQT INSPECTION REPORT: Skog reported that the report was submitted to the DNR and he has not received anything back at this point. WATER RATES: Motion by Johnson, seconded by Hefty, to file an application with the PSC to increase water rates by 3%. Carried. SEWER RATES: Motion by Hefty, seconded by Mauerman, to increase sewer rates by 23% to help cover costs associated with the Clean Water Fund. Carried. TRAINING: Nothing. ANNOUNCEMENTS AND FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS: Gill to bring pricing for two small portable welders; ATV/UTV routes; and snowmobile access into downtown.
