STREET AND UTILITY COMMITTEE
January 5, 2026
The regular meeting of the Street and Utility Committee was called to order at 6:30 p.m. in the
Albany Village Hall by Chairperson Fred Johnson. Members present were: Johnson, Kim Blumer,
Bert Hefty, Brooke Helley, and Jim Mauerman. Also present: Lonnie Gill, Ex-Officio and Andrew
Skog of Mead & Hunt.
Proof of posting was verified.
MINUTES: Motion by Hefty, seconded by Mauerman, to approve the previous minutes as printed.
Carried.
SEWER LINE AND MANHOLE SLIP LINING UPDATE: Nothing.
WATER QUALITY TRADING UPDATE: Nothing.
2026 EQUIPMENT RATES: Motion by Blumer, seconded by Mauerman, to accept the 2026
equipment rates as presented. All ayes. Motion carried.
COST OF HEAVY DUTY AND PORTABLE WELDER: Motion by Blumer, seconded by Helley, to
purchase a Lincoln Electric welder at a cost of $589 and a portable welder at a cost of $249.99.
All ayes. Motion carried.
WATER QUALITY TRADING PLAN REVISION: Nothing.
ROADS CLOSED TO ATV/UTV: Nothing.
SNOWMOBILE ACCESS TO DOWNTOWN: Nothing.
TRAINING: Motion by Johnson, seconded by Blumer, to send Dan Blumer to training in Fond Du
Lac at a cost of $50 and to send Gill to training in Green Bay at a cost of $900. All ayes. Motion
carried.
ANNOUNCEMENTS AND FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS: Sewer ordinance to match state
requirements for funding and Mead & Hunt to bring paperwork to start bidding project for sewer
project.
ADJOURNMENT: Motion by Blumer, seconded by Mauerman, to adjourn. Carried.
