STREET AND UTILITY COMMITTEE
April 7, 2025
The regular meeting of the Street and Utility Committee was called to order at 6:30 p.m. in the
Albany Village Hall by Chairperson Bert Hefty. Members present were: Hefty, Kim Blumer, Fred
Johnson, Jim Mauerman and Brooke Helley. Also present: Lonnie Gill, Ex-Officio.
Proof of posting was verified.
MINUTES: Motion by Mauerman, seconded by Blumer, to approve the previous minutes as printed.
All ayes. Motion carried.
SEWER LINE / MANHOLE SLIPLINE: The plans are started for 5,000-6,000 feet of slip lining – will
review final plans in May or June and go out for bids in the fall.
2025 PHOSPHORUS CREDIT PAYMENT: Motion by Blumer, seconded by Mauerman, to approve
payment in the amount of $26,204.96 to Reimer Farms for the phosphorus credits. All ayes.
Motion carried.
BIDS FOR PULLING WELLS: Gill was waiting on the DNR for approval; has since received and will
send out for bids.
TRAINING: Nothing.
ANNOUNCEMENTS AND FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS: Gill reported that the emergency siren was
tested on March 27 and everything looked good; may need to replace the rotary brake by 2026.
ADJOURNMENT: Motion by Blumer, seconded by Johnson, to adjourn. All ayes. Motion carried.
