The air conditioning stopped working. A 30-amp contactor was melted and replaced and a condenser fan motor replaced. Attached is an invoice from Climate Pros in the amount of $1,605.08. Submitted by: Joe Vernier, DPW Foreman Summary There are four (4) air conditioning/heating units on the roof at city hall. One unit (2005) controls City Council chambers. One unit (2009) controls the Fire Department. The other two (2000 and 2003) control city hall. One of the city hall units was down for 2 days before the contractor was able to get it up and running, but it is only running at 50% capacity. The city hall units are over 20 years old and the parts to fix them are no longer available. There is a 24-26 week lead time for new units. It is suggested that we replace the two city hall units at this time. Three quotes were received as follows: Climate Pros $32 259.00 Holdwicks Heatinq & Coolinq $37,200.00 Hutchison Mechanical Co .. Inc. $35.500.00 It is recommended to purchase from Climate Pros, who provided the lowest quote.
