Submitted by: Denice A. Gerstenberg, City Manager Summary The city of Algonac and Algonac Alive have submitted a joint Special Events permit for the annual Halloween in the 'Nae event being held Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Smith Recreation Field. The festivities kick off with a Halloween parade that will begin at 12: 30 p.m. at 421 Michigan. The games in the park will begin at 1PM. There will also be a Swamp Witch Dance, Ms. Babbette's Dancers, Kids Tunnel of Terror, Bounce House, Clown Bozo John John, and Face Painting. There will be over 30 craft vendors and food trucks. The duck race will start at 3PM on the riverfront. The permit application has been received and has been approved by administration. The safety and security plan has been approved by the St. Clair County Sheriff. Suggested Action: MOVED BY: SUPPORTED BY: RESOLVED, to approve the Special Events permit for the Annual Halloween in the 'Nae event at Smith Recreation Park, Saturday, October 21, 2023.
