PARC Tax Advisory Board April 1, 2020 Virtual Public Meeting / ZOOM Video Conference Attendees Brian Thompson Laurel Shelley Karen Schaack Dale Gunter Cherylyn Egner Nan Kuhn Camden Bird Scott Okelberry Nate Mecham The meeting started at 5:30 pm. Grant Applications Discussion: The Board discussed each application thoroughly and evaluated each project in how they support and enhance the American Fork community. Also, how the project would appeal to people in multiple ways with their interests associated with parks, arts, recreation, and culture in American Fork. The Board has discussed each application and a final recommendation should be available next week. With the COVID-19 virus the established PARC tax revenue is lower due the businesses and restaurants that have been required to close. The new estimates $920,284. Each organization with multiple applications were asked to prioritize their projects. American Fork Park American Fork Recreation Harrington Art Dye Park Scoreboards Fork Fest Boat Harbor Weight Room Chalk Fest Quail Cove Restroom Pool Obstacle & Climbing Wall Walls Playground Front Desk Concert in the Park Trail Pool Shade Structures Park Benches, Tables ACT Fox Hollow Friends Quilt Circle The 2 Musical Productions Driving Range Equipment Microphones Fox Golf Quilt Events Camden was asked reach out to the performing groups that received PARC funding last year, as to how much of those funds haven’t been spent, due to there are no rehearsals, use of venues, directors, plays, concerts, and classes. Also, how much of expected revenue was lost due to the canceled performances. Camden is also checking with the County if the matching funds for the Boat Harbor Grant can be paid off over a two-year period while construction is going on. Other Business a.
