Board of Trustees Minutes August 5th, 2021 Meeting called to order at 8:15 a.m. MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Dennis Siry, Deputy Mayor Kevin Smith, Trustee Owen Brooks ALSO PRESENT: Village Attorney Bruce Kennedy Building Inspector Robert Hayes Clerk/Treasurer Catherine Murdock Deputy Clerk Deirdre Parker Deputy Treasurer Jacqueline Aissa Assistant to the Mayor Wendy O’Neill Mayor Siry welcomed everyone to the Board of Trustees Special Meeting and conducted the Pledge of Allegiance. He welcomed Robert Hayes, the new Village Building Inspector, to the Village Hall team. Mayor Siry also reported that the Beach awards ceremony, scheduled for Friday, will be postponed to next Friday due to a COVID-19 incident. The beach will be closed the rest of the week. Mayor’s Actions: Request to approve Board of Trustees Minutes from the July 22nd Board of Trustees Meeting Mayor Siry recused himself from voting due to his absence at the July 22nd meeting. This resulted in lack of a voting quorum. (Motion tabled/no vote occurred) Approve the hiring of two call-in EMT’s: Ian Fried, 10 Sherbrooke Rd., Lindenhurst, NY 11757 and Kellie Levitsky, 26 Grace Park Dr., Commack, NY 11725 at the hourly rate of $23.50, and approve a waiver of residency.
